My dog just turned 1 so I decided to switch him from the beta puppy food onto this, foolishly I jumped right into the normal 14kg bag I usually get as it's more convenient due to not being near a store, and I thought it would be alright as he was on the puppy version prior to this.
After a month of him barely eating I have had to spend another £30 on a bag of the puppy food again (as well as a lot of money on wet food to see if it would help him eat it) because my dog HATED this. He is a dachshund and has an overbite, the kibble is unnecessarily big for him and I eventually had to start cutting every piece up which was very time consuming, but even then he would still cry with it in his mouth because of the size. For this food to work for your dog, they will have to be very large, and I am unsure why this is so big if not aimed at a giant dog breed.
Thankfully he is happily eating his puppy kibble again, will be a while before I brave another switch! Wish more brands had images and measurements of their biscuit sizes as it is very frustrating for people who need to order online.
I buy a box of 40 pouches of 7+ Doubly Delicious every week for my 3 cats. Felix Doubly Delicious is their all time favourite food. They really love all the flavours and never waste any. I am pleased with the quality of the food and that it's suitable for my 3 cats, aged 14, 13 and 13.
This cat food has been a staple for my two cats for years as they don’t like any other dry food. I find it very hard to believe the demand was low as it was often out of stock on the shelves or low stock.
One thing that doesn’t seem to be considered here is the health of the cats as changing their diet can have a bad effect on a cats health. Ask any vet, it is best to stick to a brand of food fir cats as a change can upset their digestion and may cause other health problems.
I believe the demand is there, it may not be you best seller but not everything is about money. I hope you reconsider and bring this product back.
My cats had the tuna variety and I have managed to locate the senior one to keep them going for a while.
Will avoid these... thought the pin holes were part of the biscuit texture but sadly not
My tabby used to love Gourmet Solitaire, especially Beef and Tomato in a sauce , she also like the duck .
However the recipes appear to have been changed now and the meat looks really dark
and she refuses to eat them now .
Luckily there are a couple of other flavours that she will eat but my daughters cat is exactly the same so it’s not that she is being fussy .
Can anyone from the company confirm please why they have changed the recipes ?
My cat is a fussy eater, especially recently she wouldn’t touch any of her dry foods. But, this Purina Pro Plan cat food is heaven sent as she finishes her bowl in one sitting and licks it clean.
I have never seen her do this with any food. Further I have noticed her being more energetic and is much more active than before which is a great bonus! Thank you Purina for a great product and will definitely recommend to any fussy eating cats!
I have never seen my cat drink water. On the day these arrived to trial it was a super hot day and my cat Treacle was panting with her tongue out. So I opened up a packet and she lapped it up gone in 60 seconds. I would defo get this again, even if just for the summer months so she gets more fluid and doesn't dehydrate. Its a bit pricey so I wouldn't buy all the time
My cats are very happy with this food brand , wet or dry. They like various flavors of this make of cat food .
Excellent dog food! My pup loves the taste - super healthy and great value
My yorkie absolutely loves them, he take himself away and munchies on them then comes back for another!! As well as a treat I also use them as a training aid now I know he'd do anything for one!!!
I'm glad my cats are not the only ones who hunt them out. Yoyo (2) will go to any lengths to get extra, even using a paw to sneak them away from slightly senile Phoenix (12). Phoenix loves them but requires extra effort with his few teeth. Their favourit snack every evening. Hopefully giving them fantastic teeth too. (those that Phoenix has left)
